ACADEMICS

Our Institution is committed to Academic Excellence and providing all round development of the students. The school is affiliated to the Director of Matriculation Schools, Chennai -6.

The school gives more importance to routine work and continuous evaluation system. An academic session comprises of two unit tests, a mid-term examination and a final examination. The academic performance for the complete year is taken into consideration for promotion.

School prepare the cadets for NDA, Engineering and Medical. In class twelve the Cadets have to appear twice in the Union Public Service Commission examination for entry into the National Defence Academy and once in year for medical and engineering entrance examination.

In addition to the normal classes during school hours, there are at least two prep classes daily of one hour duration each, with the academic staff present to guide and assist the students in their homework and self-study. Remedial classes are also arranged for weak students to help them to cope up with their class. Academic Training workshops for Teachers are also conducted to upgrade the techniques of teaching.

To help the students to keep pace with the most important fields of Science and information Technology, the school has well equipped science and computer laboratories. These subjects are not only tutored as a part of normal curriculum from Class V on wards but are also included as hobby clubs to encourage the students to develop a scientific and technical bent of mind through experimentation.

Physical Training, Squad Drill, Elementary Weapon Training and Obstacle Training as also Horse Riding, Martial Arts and Swimming are compulsory for all the students.

An experienced staff mostly retired personnel from the armed forces put the students through their paces in a systematic and progressive manner. These outdoor activities not only enhance their physical development and bearing but also their self-confidence and sense of fearlessness and discipline.
